That is how Maxwell figured out the nature of Light as a combination of Magnetic Waves & Electric Waves. The thing is, a wave is a fluctuation in a field though, more magic. The field is invisible. Crystals, lattices, membranes, and organelles all depend on spatial arrangement. All forms of biological electricity (cognition) and magnetism (memory) depend on the geometry of the unseen. Human sensory perception detects only a narrow band of electromagnetic and acoustic frequencies, yet the broader spectrum exists.
