A wonderful depiction of a young blonde boy. This vintage watercolour of a boy on board has a beautiful feel and we loved the delicate impressionist palette and style.
This unique portrait is unsigned on the front but to the back it is signed by Robert Forrester of a young boy called Andrew Caldbeck.
Forrester's (1913-1988) worked primarily in Oils and Watercolours. He is known for wonderful depictions of Cumbrian landscapes and much of his work can be found in The Tullie House Museum and Art Gallery.
As with anything vintage, this piece may have a few bumps and scrapes but it all adds to the character. Colours cannot be perfectly depicted over screens. There are some areas of ware to this painting so please consider this before purchasing. We can send more pictures if you require them.
